We’re here to answer all of your questions.
How do I donate medication?
It’s simple! Go to Donate Meds, fill out the form, and let us know what medication you have. Within one business day, someone will contact you about your donation. If it’s a drug we can accept, we’ll send you a prepaid shipping label so you can mail them to RemediChain. If we cannot take your medication, we’ll advise you on where you can safely dispose of it.
What types of medication do you accept from donors?
Currently, RemediChain focuses on high-value oral chemotherapy medication. There are about 100 specific drugs we seek out and maintain in our inventory.
We hope to expand that to other types, though! If you’ve got prescription medication to donate, start by filling out this form, and we’ll let you know if we can accept it.
How can I receive medication from RemediChain?
If you’re struggling to afford your medication, start by filling out this form. We’ll ask a few questions about your financial status and prescription needs. Within one business day, someone will contact you to discuss your needs.
If you qualify and if we’ve got the medication in our inventory, we just need a prescription from your physician to begin dispensing it. Once you are established in our system, we’ll send the med as long as you need it and as long as we have it.
I have insurance, does that disqualify me from receiving donated medication?
Absolutely not. In fact, 87% of RemediChain patients have some form of health coverage, but they struggle to cover the co-pay or coinsurance portion of the prescription.
In fact, some insurance plans may cover prescriptions dispensed from RemediChain. Make sure to include your insurance information on the patient registration form, and we’ll let you know if your plan may provide funding.
Is there a cost to patients who receive medication?
Some drugs may have a small fee to cover shipping, handling and processing. This fee never exceeds $200, and it can be waived for patients without the means to cover it.
How does a patient qualify to receive medication from RemediChain?
Qualification depends on the availability of the specific prescription drugs needed, and the patient’s resident state laws over prescription donation programs.

Is it legal to donate and reuse prescription drugs?
Yes! Our facility is located in Tennessee, where anyone can legally donate unopened, unexpired medications in good condition. All donated prescriptions are shipped directly to our pharmacy in Memphis.
Donation first became legal in 2018 with the establishment of Tennessee’s Prescription Drug Repository Program. It expanded in 2024 under the Kevin Clauson Drug Donation Act to include additional classes of medications, like injectables and patches.
