It’s simple! Go to Donate Meds, fill out the form, and let us know what medication you have. Our form will automatically filter for medication we can accept based on a variety of criteria. If the medication is eligible for donation, you’ll get a prepaid shipping label so you can mail them to RemediChain at no cost to you. If we cannot take your medication, we’ll advise you on where you can safely dispose of it. If you have any questions about a submitted form, please contact us and include the time of your submission and the name of the medication so we can accurately review the form in question.

RemediChain accepts a variety of medications in accordance with Tennessee law. Medications must be unexpired and sealed in the original manufacturer’s packaging. We cannot accept controlled substances, birth control, or medications that require special handling (such as refrigeration).

Most of the medications given to RemediChain are high-value medications (specialty and otherwise) that donors want to share with another patient in need. Our inventory includes everything from costly oral chemotherapy medications to necessary daily therapies like anti-coagulants and more.

If you qualify for our program and we have the medication needed in our inventory, we will need a prescription from your physician to begin dispensing it. We will then continue to send you the medication for as long as you need it and as long as we have it.

Some insurance plans may cover prescriptions dispensed from RemediChain. Make sure to include your insurance information on the patient registration form, and we’ll let you know if your plan may provide funding.

Yes! Our facility is located in Tennessee, where anyone can legally donate unopened, unexpired medications in good condition. All donated prescriptions are shipped directly to our pharmacy in Memphis.

Monetary donations to RemediChain are tax-deductible, as we are a nonprofit organization. Unfortunately, medication donations are not tax-deductible, per rules set by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Under IRS Publication 526, a charitable contribution must have a determinable fair market value. Because the law prohibits the resale of prescription medications, they have no fair market value and therefore do not qualify as a tax deduction.
